{"id":58,"date":"2016-10-04T17:38:27","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T17:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/whub50.webhostinghub.com\/~slvlan5\/?page_id=58"},"modified":"2026-01-09T11:56:56","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T18:56:56","slug":"landfill-regulations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/slvlandfill.com\/?page_id=58","title":{"rendered":"Landfill Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul>\n<li><strong>All loads must be covered and secure or will be charged double.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All vehicles are required to stop at the office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please wait in line in your vehicle and pull forward to the office as the line proceeds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicles with heavy materials (concrete, bricks, stucco, dirt, roofing, tree stumps  must use the scale on the right<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Speed limit is 10 MPH<\/strong> on site.  Stay on designated roads, do not pass other vehicles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the strap and tarp removal area to remove tarps and straps before entering the unloading area.  This area should be used to roll-up tarps and securing ties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please yield to all landfill equipment.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be aware of on-coming traffic and trash trucks exiting the scale on the right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pets and Children under 10 must remain in the vehicle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tires and mattress\/box springs are an additional fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No smoking, open flames or hot ashes.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not dispose of hazardous waste into the landfill.  This includes metal, auto batteries, motor oil, paints, pesticides, flammable liquids, electronics and appliances with Freon.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We provide metal bins for metal item (which are not allowed in the landfill ) to be sorted into.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For Safety and Health SCAVENGING is prohibited.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Burn barrels must be cold and unloaded several feet from the working face.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All vehicles\/trailers need to back in and unload trash from the back allowing room for other vehicles to park.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We cannot assist in unloading.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All vehicles are subject to random inspections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Landfill Staff have the right to refuse any or all trash loads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No Side Dump Semi Trailers are allowed in the landfill.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid waste only: no liquid paint, motor oil, metal,  hazardous materials, or vehicle batteries.<br><strong>WARNING: Transporting any unauthorized Hazardous Waste to this facility for disposal is prohibited by law.
